# Trial Subscription Period

A trial subscription allows users to access a private channel for free for a limited time — 1, 12, or 24 hours, or 3 or 7 days.\
This feature helps potential subscribers explore your content before paying and increases conversion to paid subscriptions.

**How to enable a trial period**

1. Go to the **“Payments”** section when creating or editing a subscription.
2. Activate the **“Trial period”** option.
3. Set the desired trial duration — 1, 12, or 24 hours, or 3 or 7 days.

After linking a payment card, the user will receive free access for the selected period.\
Once the trial period ends, the subscription will automatically renew as a paid one (unless the user cancels it in advance).

If you add a trial period while editing an existing subscription, it will apply only to **new subscribers**.
