# Donations

What donations are in Tribute: voluntary support from your audience in any amount within the limits, one-time or regular, paid inside Telegram or via a web link.

**Donations** are voluntary support from your audience — a way to thank you for the content you publish. A donation is not a payment for content, a service or a product, and it doesn't give access to a paid channel: donations work alongside any channel or group, public or private.

Supporters choose the amount themselves, within the [limits](/for-content-creators/fees-limits-currencies.md). You can set a minimum amount.

**How it works**

1. You [create a donation](/for-content-creators/donations/how-to-create-a-donation.md) in the creator profile: cover, name and description, button text, payment methods, currency (USD, EUR or RUB) and, optionally, a minimum amount.
2. You share it — post it in your channel or group, send the Telegram or web link, or set up [automatic posting](/for-content-creators/automatic-posting-for-subscriptions-and-donations.md).
3. A supporter opens the donation form, picks an amount and a frequency — one-time or [regular](/for-content-creators/donations/regular-donations.md) — and pays. They can add a message for you and send the donation anonymously.

**Good to know**

* Payments work inside Telegram and on a web page: with the web link, supporters can pay without a Telegram account, using their email.
* Receiving donations requires a verified creator account.
