# Regular donations

Regular donations in Tribute: supporters choose an amount and a frequency — weekly, monthly or yearly — and the payment repeats automatically until they cancel it.

**Regular donations** are donations of an amount chosen by the supporter that repeat automatically with the chosen frequency: weekly, monthly or yearly.

**What are they for?**

We added this feature so that supporters can back creators regularly with an amount that is comfortable for them.

**What's different from subscriptions?**

1. A regular donation doesn't give access to a paid channel — it's pure support, so it works with public channels and groups too.
2. The amount is chosen by the supporter, not by the creator.

**How to enable regular donations**

No additional actions are required. Every donation form offers a **Frequency** choice: one-time, weekly, monthly or yearly. When [creating a donation](/for-content-creators/donations/how-to-create-a-donation.md) you set the **Default Frequency** that is preselected in the form — supporters can change it.

**How supporters manage regular donations**

Recurring donations are listed in the **Subscriber Dashboard** of the Tribute bot. A supporter can cancel a regular donation at any time; after that no further payments are charged.

Some payment methods are available for one-time donations only — for example, SBP (Faster Payments System).
